Terms of Sale

Gleeden provides tools allowing Members to interact with other Members via:


  1. Private messages, and
  2. Live chat.

    3. If you want to have access to these tools (the “Communication Tools”) and be able to communicate with other Members and initiate encounters, you must purchase either Credits, or a Membership as more fully explained below.


    These Terms of Sale are part of the Terms of Use which a Member must agree to join the Service.


    Members may choose one of two types of packs to have access to Gleeden’s Communication Tools: buy a Credit Pack, or a Membership (VIP or Platinum).


    A – Credit Packs.


    Credit Packs (all prices include tax): the Member purchases a certain amount of units which he can use on gleeden.com to initiate encounters by using the Communication Tools.



    Value of credits:


    • - Sending the first private message: 4 credits – all other messages sent to the same person are free
    • - Reading the first private message: 3 credits – all other messages received by the same person are free
    • - Demand to open a book: 1 credit
    • - To open another member's book for the first time: 2 credits
    • - Instant Messenger: 4 credits per session.
    • - Answering an instant Message: 3 credits for the session

    The credits are debited at the first answer of the instant messaging conversation.


    If a member disconnects during a chat conversation, he has 30 minutes to reconnect his session without paying any more credits.



    Credits will automatically be deducted from a Member’s account as he or she uses the Communication Tools with other Members.


    B – VIP Membership and Platinum Membership.


    Memberships (all prices include tax): for a monthly fee, or a one-time fee, the Member gains unlimited use of all Communication Tools offered by Gleeden for 6 months.

    • - VIP members receive acknowledgement of receipt when they send messages and virtual gifts.
    • - The profiles of VIP members are displayed on other members’ home pages to increase their visibility.
    • - VIP members have a higher ranking in the search tool, so their profiles appear first to other members, increasing their visibility.
    • - VIP’s receive 100 virtual gifts to send to other members (worth more than 5000 credits).


    C -Conditions of Payment.


    Credit Packs and Membership are paid in advance. A Member cannot contact another Member without purchasing a formula. However, please note that a Member can communicate with VIP Members (purchasers of VIP or Platinum) for free if the communication is initiated by the VIP Member.


    Payment can be made by using one the following methods of payment:


    • Visa
    • Visa Electron
    • Mastercard
    • American express
    • Cartasi
    • Laser
    • Diners

    Once your payment is successfully processed, credits will automatically appear on your personal account.


    All payments are final. No refund is possible under any circumstances, except for illegal use of a means of payment. A declaration of fraudulent use of a means of payment is punishable by law.



    D -Right to cancel under distance selling regulations (for residents of the EU ONLY) This section applies to you only if you are a "consumer" as defined in the EU Directive on Distance Selling 97/7/EC, as transposed by each State of the EU in its own laws (See for instance, UK's Consumer Protection (Distance Selling Regulations 2000) and resident within the EU: in that case, you may cancel your order for the Services by giving us written notice within seven working days of placing your order; provided, however, that you may not exercise the right to cancel if performance of the Services (consumption of credits purchased in a pack) has begun, with your consent, before the end of the seven working day period. Within 30 days of receipt of your notice of cancellation of the Services, we will refund you. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, this right of cancellation only apply for the first purchase of our Services (any packs); it shall not apply to subsequent purchases of similar Services by you.



    E –Renewal, Upgrades and Stopping the Subscription.


    Renewal:


    Credit Packs: once all the credits of a Credit Pack are used, there will be no automatic renewal of the pack. The Member will have to purchase new credits through his personal account.


    Pack upgrade:


    A Member may switch to a superior category pack (more credits for Credit Packs, or from a Credit Pack to a Membership) if the two following conditions are cumulatively fulfilled:


    • The upgrade is requested within a 48 hour period following the purchase of the initial pack, and
    • (for Credit Packs only) The Member has not used more than 20% of the credits of his first Credit Pack.

    Unsubscribing:

    If you request your permanent removal from Gleeden, you will not be reimbursed of unused credits or of the value of the Membership. However, if you choose to suspend your membership, then your profile will be removed from the public areas of Gleeden but your credits will be preserved until you reactivate your membership (this does not apply to VIP Membership which expires at the end of its term).
